This version incorporates all the new features included in VIM 20.4 SPS6 for S\/4HANA. Both packages were released in Q4 2023, but what are the differences between the two versions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"differences-between-vim-23-4-and-20-4\" title=\"Differences between VIM 23.4 and 20.4\">Differences between VIM 23.4 and 20.4<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the one hand, while VIM 20.4 is compatible with SAP S\/4HANA versions 1709, 1809, 1909, 2020, 2021 and 2022, VIM 23.4 is the only version compatible with SAP S\/4HANA 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the component level, we find changes again with the introduction in VIM 23.4 of the OTVIMBAS and OTVIMFUI components for Foundation and OTVIMNV for Invoice Solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding the new features, the product release note details the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improved logic for determining invoice items: A new algorithm considers two new fields: weight and certainty. This allows you to configure:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Certainty level applied to line determination, considering the weight configured for each field, the number of fields, and the number of fields required to establish the match.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certainty level applied to field determination, including partial and total matching.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, this process is logged and can be analyzed for future adjustments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fiori Cockpit: A Fiori application for the Invoice Solution, it offers 6 predefined analysis cards with different formats, which are customizable by the user. The main ones are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Extensions to the IES Extraction Analytics report available in Business Center Workplace with new document-level KPIs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A new view is added to the IES Extraction Panel as a node in the Supplier Invoices workspace.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For customers currently using electronic invoice entry in Invoice Solution, OT offers a migration program since the configuration has been migrated to the Foundation component.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improvements in the PDF (SmartForms) rendering of electronic invoice XML, offering the end user a more user-friendly view of the invoice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As an improvement for the localization of Poland, OpenText aligns with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, incorporating the KSeF reference and the acquisition date to the indexing screens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The article reference number (ARN) is incorporated for invoices in Italy, as well as new business rules for their validation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leasing invoices (REC_S4) can be processed in the main Fiori applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invoice return to supplier: as a new feature, the user will be able to select the email sender address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New document class DWN_S4 for processing down payment requests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"deprecated-features-in-this-version\" title=\"Deprecated features in this version\">Deprecated features in this version<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This new version of VIM introduces changes related to features no longer available. Here are the key ones:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Enter Cost Assignment:<\/strong>&nbsp;The Enter Cost Assignment Advanced application permanently replaces the older Enter Cost Assignment Simple.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ariba Integration:<\/strong>&nbsp;Only Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) is supported now.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>VIM KPI Dashboard:<\/strong>&nbsp;This dashboard is no longer available in Central Reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Document Capture Products:<\/strong>\u00a0ICC\/BCC products are no longer supported by VIM 23.4. OpenText recommends using the new Intelligent Capture for SAP and Core Capture for SAP, based on matching learning technology.
